I think when it comes to fashion, we are pretty fortunate to be living in the year 2015. We have an enormous amount of flexibility and the entire canon of 20th century fashion to choose from when we dress ourselves. Edwardian blouses, ’40s rayon dresses, funky ’70s jumpsuits, and lush ’50s party dresses are all at our fingertips, ready to be given a new life. We can mix genres, time-periods, and styles to create something new and exciting.
Here at Hopscotch & Soda, we love to see how people incorporate garments from the past into their everyday wardrobes. For each post in this series, we’ll feature a different vintage-loving lady and explore how she uses bygone garments to craft a look that’s all her own. From historically accurate outfits to contemporary ensembles that feature just a few vintage accents, you are sure to be inspired!
If you wear vintage and would like to share your style with the world, we’d love to chat!
